Worship Saint Ramanuja-Philosopher and social reformer –on his birthday (Ashtothara namavali) On  the 1000th birthday celebrations of saint Ramanuja , the great exponent of Visishtadvaitha philosophy starts . When we think about this great saint we tend to remember the definition of a true Vaishnava by Narasi Mehtha(my translation of Vaishnava Janatho) :- He and he alone is the Vaishnava, Who knows the pain and misery of others, Who tries to help others in distress, And who does not have pride in his mind. He and he alone is the Vaishnava, Who respects and salutes all, Who does not talk ill of others, Who keeps his mind pure in words and action, And whose mother is considered blessed by all. He and he alone is the Vaishnava, Who views everybody as equal, Who considers other women as his mother, Who never tells lies all his life, And who never yearns for other’s wealth. He and he alone is the Vaishnava, Who never has any attachments, Who is strongly detached

Prayers to Parasurama Avathara Of Vishnu-Tomorrow is birthday of Parasurama (07.05.2019)-- (May be little long but you would not find all this information about God Parasurama in same place) Parashurama (Sanskrit: परशुराम, IAST: Paraśurāma, lit. Rama with an axe) is the sixth of Vishnu in Hinduism. Born as a brahmin, Parshuram carried traits of a Kshatriya and is often regarded as a Brahmin-Kshatriya. He carried a number of Kshatriya traits, which included aggression, warfare and valor. Like other incarnations of Vishnu, he was foretold to appear at a time when overwhelming evil prevailed on earth. The Kshatriyas class, with weapons and power, had begun to abuse their power, take what belonged to others by force and tyrannize people. Parashurama corrects the cosmic equilibrium by destroying these evil Kshatriya warriors.Later he gave all the land he conquered as Charity and to find a place for him to live , he recovers west coast from the ocean. He is also referred to as Rama Ja
